Welcome to Summer Reading! Please follow the directions below to register.
To register for the online "Libraries Rock" Summer Reading Program you must be a rising first through sixth grader. (Children five years old and younger may register at the JCPL Youth Services desk beginning June 4.) Click on the "Sign Me Up" button above and fill in your information. The last question is your reading goal. That's the total number of minutes you want to read until July 19. We suggest you read at least 20 minutes a day for five days during the week. You can read much more if you like.
After you sign up, the next step is reading. You can read anything you want as long as it's on your level. We have calendars available for you to write down how many minutes you read each day. Log your minutes into the computer by clicking "Login". You can log your minutes every day, once a week, or whenever you like. The computer will add up your minutes for you.
You will receive a book to keep when you meet your goal. You must read at least 200 minutes to receive a book. So get started! READ!
