Welcome to Summer Reading! Please follow the directions below to register.
This program is for children going into first through fifth grade in the fall. (Younger children may register for Summer Reading at the Johnson City Public Library.)
It's easy to do. Just follow the steps below.
1. REGISTER and set your goal for how many minutes you want to read until July 20th. (20 minutes 5 days a week is 720 minutes) You may NOT change your goal once you set it, but you can exceed it.
2. READ and track your time. You may read any books of your choosing, but we recommend you read books on your level. They do not have to be library books. EBooks and audiobooks count, too!
3. RECORD your time online each day, week, or whenever is convenient for you.
4. RECEIVE incentives for reading. For example, once you've read 120 minutes you will receive a small treat at the library.
